From winner to ad in 24 hours: the full Reacast workflow

Moving from a reference to your own video means turning an impression into concrete decisions: which concept to keep, which product to show, which shots to prepare and what to check before export. The twenty-four-hour timeframe in the title describes an organisational ambition rather than a processing or publishing commitment.

Save a reference with its purpose

Start by explaining what interests you: a question, staging choice or way of showing the product. Keep the source. A reference with no clear purpose quickly becomes a forgotten favourite.

Check file access and available information. If the complete video is unavailable, do not present a reading of its caption as an analysis of its footage.

Write a product-centred brief

Define the audience, situation, promise and evidence. Connect your product and media to those choices. The same structure can tell a different story when the product changes; your brief should explain that difference.

Separate observations from the reference and proposals for your version. This makes it possible to revise the adaptation without confusing the two.

The reference starts the work. The brief gives it direction.

Prepare shots and media

Give each scene a function: attract attention, demonstrate, contextualise or close. List footage to shoot and media already available. Preparation exposes impossible shots and missing evidence early.

In your Reacast workspace, use actions that are actually available. Any offered generative process should show its cost before confirmation. A storyboard example does not establish availability.

Review the result before exporting

Watch the complete video: product fidelity, readable text, sound, rhythm and continuity. A correct thumbnail is not enough. Check that the close matches the use case shown.

Export and publishing are separate steps. Test the final file in the intended format before distributing it. An ambitious schedule should not remove that final review.

Deliverables to keep

Speed largely comes from prepared decisions and available media. Keep the elements needed to resume the project without starting from the original reference again.

  • The source and creative intention.
  • The brief and shot list.
  • The checked final file before distribution.
