Adapt a hook to your product

3 min readUpdated October 12, 2026

In short

In Adapt, write a short hook connecting the action shown to a confirmed product benefit. Review suggestions rather than automatically reusing the source’s promise. Then check that the text and demonstration remain consistent in your version.

Check the product

In Recreate Studio, open Adapt and select the intended record. Check the displayed name and image before writing: changing products may require fresh preparation.

Review the description and confirmed benefits in My Products if you are unsure of the message. A hook should announce what the video actually shows. For a product with an unfamiliar use, naming the action or context can be clearer than a very general phrase.

Edit the hook

  1. In Hook text, replace the opening with a short sentence adapted to your product’s use. Describe a verifiable benefit and keep it quick to read.
  2. Review the composition preview, then proceed to preparation and cost confirmation. Changes after processing starts may need to be made in the editor.

Avoid adding several arguments in the same field. Choose one opening idea, then read it alongside the displayed product image. Check names, numbers and absolute claims particularly carefully: a hook coming from the reference does not make it accurate for your record.

Example: keep the intent, adapt the facts

Fictional example: a reference opens with “Finally hands-free.” Repeating that for your mug would be misleading if the demonstration cannot support it. A hook such as “Your drink for a desk break” may better match the context actually shown without inventing a product feature.

A useful check is to read the sentence, watch the source opening and compare the generated version. If the message requires an action absent from the preserved scene, change the text or choose another reference. Editing the hook does not automatically rewrite the source’s actions.

Check the rendered text

This hook does not automatically replace speech or text already embedded in the original video. After generation, check overlays throughout the video. Correct their text and timing in Text before producing the final edit.
