In short
Start with a reasonably broad search, then add one filter at a time to understand what narrows the results. Also check unknown values and pagination. Filters act on the available catalog; an empty list does not prove that no relevant videos exist.
Start with a useful search
- Choose a product or a specific phrase in Discover. Run the search and inspect some results without advanced filters.
- Next choose a network, a publication period, then a view threshold appropriate to your need. Apply each change separately.
Filters act on available results: they do not request a new collection by themselves. They also affect the total and result pages. Returning to the first page after a change is normal; compare the whole scope rather than one card’s position.

Add advanced criteria
Language refers to captions and country to accounts. Engagement ratios distinguish likes, comments and shares relative to views. Velocity and outliers require comparable history.
A metric threshold excludes posts where that metric is unknown. Combining thresholds can therefore sharply reduce the visible catalog.
Format indicates Video, Image, Carousel or Unknown according to observations. Account size uses known follower counts. Before adding those conditions, ask whether they serve your search: they can remove a relevant demonstration without improving its fit to your product.
Example: move from broad to specific
To study a product demonstration, start with Keyword and a use-case phrase, then choose one network. Add Format = Video if images and carousels do not serve your purpose. Next narrow the publication period to examine recent references, then add a view threshold only if needed.
If useful results disappear after the last change, set that filter back to Any. Keep conditions that improved relevance and remove those that merely make counters impressive. You can study performance after finding a suitable structure.
If the list becomes empty
Remove the last condition, then widen the period or lower the threshold. Check visual relevance again. High views do not replace a fit between the concept and your product.
