About the role
Reacast turns millions of organic videos into creative decisions. The hard part isn’t the AI, it’s the interface: how do you make a team trust a concept cluster, act on a score, and edit a machine-generated video without feeling like they lost control?
As our first product designer, you’ll own that answer. You’ll work directly with both founders, shape a product used daily by 900+ brands, and set the design culture for the next 50 hires. Small team, huge surface: discovery, UI, systems, research and brand all touch your desk.
What you’ll own
- Own end-to-end product design for the Recreate Studio and Video Editor, from problem framing to shipped pixels.
- Design the workflows that make AI-generated content feel editable and trustworthy, not magical and opaque.
- Run weekly usability sessions with e-commerce teams; your research feeds next-sprint decisions directly.
- Maintain and evolve the Reacast design system alongside engineering, with a strong taste for restraint.
- Partner with the founders on brand and marketing design, this page is a fair sample of the bar.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years designing complex B2B or data products, you’ve shipped flows, not just screens.
- A portfolio showing clarity under density: dashboards, editors, or tools with real information hierarchy.
- Strong written communication; you frame problems in docs before opening Figma.
- Comfort designing with AI in the loop: generative output, uncertainty states, human review steps.
- Fluent English; French is a plus for user research.
Nice to have
Experience with video or timeline interfaces · Familiarity with e-commerce or creator workflows · Motion design sensibility (we use Framer Motion)
