The long definition
A marketing angle is the particular reason to care about a product that a message chooses to emphasise. One product might be presented through portability, ease of use, or design. Each angle addresses a different situation or hesitation, using the same underlying product facts.
An angle is not a slogan or an invented advantage. It guides the hook, demonstration, evidence, and CTA. Keeping one main angle makes the video easier to understand and makes comparisons between variants more useful.
Anatomy: Marketing angle
Connect a real situation to a benefit you can demonstrate.

- 01SituationDescribe when the product becomes useful.
- 02BenefitChoose one relevant advantage.
- 03ProofPlan a scene that supports the advantage.
- 04MessageAlign the opening and conclusion with that benefit.
A concrete example
Illustrative example · foldable tote
“An extra bag that takes up almost no space until you need it.”Show the folded bag in a pocket, then unfold it for shopping.
The angle is portability, rather than a list of every feature. The scene provides the evidence for the message.
Do
- Choose one main benefit.
- Link it to a specific situation.
- Support it with product evidence.
Don't
- List every selling point at once.
- Invent superiority over competitors.
- Change the promise halfway through.
How Reacast uses this concept
State the marketing angle in your Reacast brief before adapting the hook. It provides a reference for choosing which product details the storyboard should show.
