Connect your Shopify store

3 min readUpdated October 12, 2026

In short

From Settings, connect the store using its myshopify.com domain and a Shopify account authorized to install Reacast. On return, verify the domain and Connected status. Then wait for catalog preparation and choose and review products to import: authorization alone does not create every product record.

Prepare the connection

Sign in to Reacast with the intended workspace and have access permitting installation on the store. Connection must be available for your store; app access for new merchants depends on its Shopify distribution.

Have the store’s permanent domain ready, even if customers use another storefront address. Connection is tied to the active workspace: check its name before starting. If Reacast says the store is already linked to another workspace, do not try to bypass the message with another URL.

Authorize Shopify

  1. In Settings, open Integrations and choose Connect for Shopify. Enter the store.myshopify.com domain.
  2. Continue to Shopify, review the displayed permissions and approve if they suit your needs. Return to the same Reacast workspace and wait for Connected.

On return, check the displayed domain and Connected status in Settings, then reload to confirm the connection persists. Catalog synchronization is a subsequent stage: authorizing Shopify does not mean every record and photo is already ready in My Products.

Understand what appears after connection

The Shopify card can show synchronization queued or running, followed by the number of products read. Wait for completion before looking for a missing product in the catalog selector. If photos could not be imported, the message distinguishes them from product information; a record can therefore exist without all its images.

If connection does not complete, restart from Settings with an active session. An expired attempt or changed session requires fresh authorization; reusing an old callback URL does not repair it. Keep the displayed message for support if the problem persists.

Choose records to create

Synchronization prepares a browsable catalog; it does not automatically create every My Products record. In Shopify import, choose a product, review its information and images, then confirm creation within displayed limits. This workflow does not collect customers or orders.
