In short
In Settings, check whether Shopify actually needs fresh authorization or only another synchronization attempt. If Reconnect required appears, reconnect to the same domain in the correct workspace. Then confirm Connected; previously created records do not need to be imported again as duplicates.
Read the status
In Settings > Integrations, check the Shopify card and its message. A synchronization error is not always an expired connection: first check whether fresh authorization is requested.
Statuses differ: Not connected means no active connection, Reconnect required requests renewed authorization, and Disconnecting indicates removal still in progress. For the last state, use the displayed disconnection retry rather than starting a new connection simultaneously.
Renew authorization
- Use Connect or the offered retry. Enter the same myshopify.com domain and open Shopify with the account authorized to install Reacast.
- Review permissions, approve, then return to Reacast on the same origin and workspace. Check Connected before retrying synchronization.
After returning from Shopify, check that the displayed domain is the intended one. Reload Settings to read saved status, then wait for the requested synchronization. Existing product records are separate from the connection: do not recreate them as duplicates merely because you renewed access.
Choose the right action for the message
Fictional example: the card shows Connected but reports a catalog synchronization failure. Start with Synchronize to retry that operation; do not assume permissions expired. If status becomes Reconnect required, then use Connect and renew Shopify authorization.
If the message says your Reacast session ended, sign into the correct workspace and restart from Settings. If the store is linked elsewhere, have that association checked rather than choosing a similar domain. Connection status must match the store you actually intend to use.
If reconnecting fails
Restart from Settings if the attempt expired or your session changed. Avoid reusing an old callback URL. This procedure concerns Shopify; TikTok and Meta OAuth connections are not available in this workflow. Never send tokens to support.
