Shopify product sync schedule

3 min readUpdated October 12, 2026

In short

The catalog is prepared after connection, receives Shopify updates and can be refreshed with Synchronize. Check its status and product count before opening the import selector. Catalog synchronization remains separate from importing a product record and does not guarantee a fixed completion time.

Understand updates

An initial synchronization prepares the catalog after connection. Product creation, update and deletion events then enter a processing queue. Nightly reconciliation complements this monitoring.

Event processing is scheduled regularly, around every five minutes; this cadence is not a guarantee of updates within five minutes during delays, errors or Shopify unavailability.

The catalog and creative records have different roles. The former reflects products available in the store; the latter contain what you selected and reviewed for Reacast. Synchronization is therefore neither a bulk import into My Products nor fresh generation of your projects.

Request synchronization

  1. In Settings > Integrations, check that Shopify is Connected. Use Synchronize, then inspect the displayed status.
  2. Wait for completion before concluding that a product is missing. If fresh authorization is requested, reconnect the store before retrying.

While synchronization is queued or running, the button can remain unavailable to avoid repeated retry submissions. The message shows catalog progress. On completion, check product counts and any photo errors before concluding that everything is ready.

Example: a new product has not appeared yet

Fictional example: you add a product in Shopify and immediately open Reacast. Check connection first, then catalog status. If no synchronization is running, use Synchronize and wait for its result. Look in the Shopify selector rather than only among existing My Products cards.

If the product becomes selectable but photos are missing, inspect the image message and available formats. A photo error does not necessarily mean catalog reading failed. If the issue persists, note the domain, affected product and exact message for support.

Check the correct scope

Synchronization updates the browsable catalog. Importing a product into My Products remains a separate reviewed choice. It does not automatically rewrite media in your saved creations.
