In short
Keep the edit’s order and lock satisfactory scenes before targeting the passage to regenerate. Describe a precise correction and review the quote. After replacing the media, check the whole sequence: preserving other scenes does not guarantee the new passage automatically follows the original narrative.
Preserve good passages
- Lock scenes you want to keep. Select only the scene that needs work and wait for Auto-saved before opening Regenerate with AI.
- Describe one precise change in the prompt, consistent with the preceding and following scenes. Check the offered references.
Identify what holds the sequence together: the opening question, demonstration and final answer. Preserve scenes whose media and role are satisfactory. The lock guards against regeneration; you still need to review the timeline after manually moving or shortening scenes.
Keep the rhythm
Keep a duration compatible with the existing passage. If the mode offers another duration setting, review its impact and updated quote. A lock protects against regeneration, not all manual editing changes.
Check the scene label in the dialog, loaded references and available mode before confirmation. Changing the instruction or a setting invalidates the previous cost context. Wait for matching preparation and quote; do not rely on an amount read before those changes.
Example: preserve a three-stage progression
Fictional example: one scene introduces the problem, the next shows use and the last the result. To improve the middle passage, request a correction compatible with the intended action. An unrelated new action can break the answer to the problem even if the generated media looks attractive on its own.
Then review transition phrases and listen to audio continuity. Saved order can remain identical while the edit feels different after media replacement. The complete montage, rendered again, shows whether the structure remains understandable to a viewer.
Check continuity
After processing, rebuild the full preview. Check transitions, overlay timing and audio. The saved structure provides a framework but does not guarantee perfect visual continuity in generated media; validate it before export.
