In short

Imported information is a starting point to review. Check the correct product, name, category, characteristics and photos before saving it or using it to prepare a brief.

Identify what was prefilled

During onboarding, reading a public page suggests information for confirmation. In Add product, choosing a Shopify record prefills the selected product’s details. In both cases, check that you are looking at the correct product rather than a similar variant.

If you only added a photo or entered a reference URL in a manual record, no text is automatically extracted from it. Fill in the fields yourself.

Review fields before confirming

  1. Name and category: choose precise terms that describe the product rather than a slogan or the store’s general name.
  2. Description, benefits and audience: keep only what matches the record and your product. Correct ambiguous characteristics and promises you cannot confirm.
  3. Price and currency: check that they match the selected product. Leave the price empty if it is missing or uncertain.
  4. Image: check the model, color and variant. When importing a public page, you can exclude the suggested image and add a suitable photo later.
  5. During onboarding, confirm the imported details after reviewing them. Changing the details requires a new confirmation before continuing.

Check the final record

After saving, open the product from My Products. Check the details and available photos again. For a Shopify import, photos may still be importing; check synchronization in Settings before treating it as a failure.

Product settings let you correct the record later. Review an already prepared creation separately: changing the product does not guarantee that an existing brief is updated.

If details are missing

Complete the required fields using reliable information you have. An empty optional field is better than an invented value. If the page could not be read, return to manual entry: a reading failure does not require you to connect a store.
