A tracked competitor shows no data

3 min readUpdated October 12, 2026

In short

Identify what is missing: the profile, posts, analyses or just one indicator. Check monitoring status and messages before adding the account again. Videos can be available while history remains insufficient for momentum; missing data is not zero performance.

Check the account

Open Competitors and the affected account. Check the network and handle: a similarly named profile may have been selected. Inspect collection and analysis messages.

Distinguish what is empty: the whole profile, video grid, concepts or only one metric. If posts appear, account identification has already produced results; missing momentum does not mean all monitoring failed. Also check filters and the video page being viewed.

Identify what is missing

  • Initial monitoring collects posts and then prepares analyses asynchronously. A private account, inaccessible media or paused budget can limit results.
  • Videos may be visible before concepts. Baselines and momentum additionally require enough comparable references and observations; a dash does not mean zero.

Understand different empty states

Profile present, no videos: check whether initial collection is waiting or reporting an access issue. Videos present, no concepts: wait for usable analyses needed for grouping. Descriptive statistics visible, momentum absent: comparable historical observations may still be missing even for an account with many posts.

Fictional example: monitoring added today already shows older videos. That does not mean Reacast observed them each week in the past. Publication dates and observation dates have different roles. Allow monitoring to build observations without treating a dash as zero performance.

Choose the next step

Wait for existing processing and reopen the same account. Avoid repeatedly removing and adding it. If the error persists, give support the network, handle, time and message, without login credentials.

After reloading, compare status with the previous message and note changes: first videos appearing, completed analyses or a new error. If a condition remains blocked, this timeline helps isolate the issue. Removing and immediately adding the account does not recreate missing comparable history.
